Hungry dude.

Sarah has been watching the boys this month for me while I've been covering for a girl on maternity leave at work.  Its been great.  The boys have really bonded with her and love their new Aunt! I made Brian & Sarah a plate of cookies as a thank you and left it saran wrapped on the counter (they canceled a date to help me -I locked my keys and Hayden in my car and then the battery died -long sad story).  Anyway, when Sarah woke up Hayden was covered in crumbs.  He had quietly snuck into the kitchen when he woke up and devoured the whole plate of a dozen cookies for breakfast (no doubt he fed a few to the dogs).  He's like a stealthy ninja in the mornings!

I made the boys strawberry milkshakes.  Reese had a strawberry chunk get stuck in the spout of his sippy cup so that it was half in/half out.  He looks at it and goes, "Hey! Cup sticking it's tongue out at me!"

Locked out

Lately Hayden seems to think the doggy door is his own personal entrance into, and out of the house.
The other day we came home and found we were locked out of the house.
Hayden gladly slipped through the doggy door and went and pushed the garage door button to let us in the house.
He was rewarded with lots of kisses and some candy for saving the day. =)

Initially we put the high chair to discourage him from this behavior,
and to keep him from letting the cat out at will as well.
Talk about an obstacle course!

Fruity fingers

This guy loves sticking fruit on his fingers before eating it!

Primary & Preschool!

Reese started Preschool and moved up to Sunbeams this week!
Unfortunately, I am working full time for a girl on maternity leave, and missed his first day of school.  I felt really bad.
The sweet lady in my ward doing daycare for me took him.
They are going to be helping him with his speech, and so far he loves it!
When I went to pick him up he excitedly pointed at the fire alarm and made some "reeeooor reeeorrr" noises
and covered his ears and said "loud!"
Evidently they had a fire drill and that was pretty exciting for a 3yr old little boy!
I took this picture the day before school, after his first day in Sunbeams/Primary!
That sweet smile of his fills me up with happiness.

Enjoying AZ's winter weather...

String some punch balloons on some fishing wire, and make some foam paddles, and you're in for a fun time!

Brian & Sarah

On Dec 27th 2013 my youngest brother Brian was married to Sarah Solomon,
in the Mesa, AZ temple.
I LOVE my beautiful new SISTER, and the boys love having an Aunt!
Unfortunately my Mom, my boys, and I, were sick with a pneumonia, and missed out on the reception,
and I failed to take any pictures.
The wedding was beautiful though, and my Grandpa Washburn was able to preform the sealing.

Merry Christmas!

I love these sweet boys, the magic of Christmas, and my Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ whom we celebrate.  Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Page Trip

We went to Page for Thanksgiving. Edward had to stay in Phoenix and work.
The first day we hurried and built a snowman before it all melted.

Playing in the leaves with Uncle Buzzy

My Dad planned a fun hike for the boys to the "toadstools"
 after Thanksgiving dinner.

Uncle Brian and his beautiful fiance Sarah =)

Halloween

I made both of the boys costumes.  Mickey Mouse and a Minion.
Prior to trick-or-treating, we attended some ward party festivities.
Uncle Batman passed out candy at our house,
while we took the boys trick-or-treating.

And just for fun I fashioned a spider in my hair for work.

Texas Trip

In October we went to San Antonio to visit Edward's Parents.  While there we visited the Witte Museum.   They have a lot of fun interactive science experiments to try.

Reese was pretty concerned about this guy's leg getting bitten.
The exhibits depicting animals catching their prey, disturbed him as well.
He sat and talked quietly to a deer whose neck was in the clutches of a mountain lions teeth, and even after dragging him away from the sad scene, he kept going back and whispering to it some more.

Hayden's favorite thing by far was the buffalo.
I wish I had caught his initial reaction on video.
He let out the biggest "WOW!" I've ever heard. =)

Every trip we make time for a "choo choo" train ride around the zoo grounds.
Hopefully next visit I get some pictures of Mama and Papa,
because visiting with them is the best part!
