Hayden's Preschool Graduation

Hayden did an in-home preschool this year with Mrs. Stephanie Lee.
She was great and he had fun!
 Such a handsome boy:
For his end of the year program he recited the poem "Humpty Dumpty".

Reese's Kindergarten Graduation

Reese had Mrs. Martinez as his Kindergarten teacher and we just love her.
She truly is amazing. I'm so grateful for the progress he's made this year.
Reese calls this his "genius" picture:
The end of the year program. Who's that kid in the back with the fly dance moves? ;)

Page Trips

I've been highlighting my own hair, but I started getting some frizzy ends that I'd totally fried, so I decided I'd better start having it professionally done.  I've been searching around the valley for someone who does a good job and doesn't charge an arm and a leg, and so far I really haven't found anyone that I love.
My good friend Jennifer Gomez in Page does hair and she is amazing!
I haven't found anyone else anywhere that does as good of a job.
And she gives me a friend discount, and my Mom can watch my kids while I get my hair done,
so it has become my main excuse for going to Page every other month.
Jen & I at the Page City Easter egg hunt with our daughter's Grayce & Kiyah.

It's wonderful what an innate love kids have for their Grandparents, and because of that bond they love Page trips as much as I do.  In fact on Reese's Kindergarten Diploma it says he wants to Fly Airplanes when he grows up and live in Page. And Hayden's says he wants to "go to my Papa's house" after he graduates (Preschool).
The boys love to go fishing with Grandpa.
My Dad says once he retires (soon) he is going fishing every day for the rest of his life.
I love the Colorado river -it is so serene.

Memorial weekend Uncle Brian, Aunt Sarah, and sweet little James were in Page!
And this is fun at Lake Powell on 4th of July weekend:

Uncle Buzzy took Hayden and Reese to see the new Transformers movie.
When Grayce and I went to pick them up we got there a little early so the Theater doors were still locked (Page only has one theater that only plays one movie -so they lock the door going in once the movie has started).
Grayce pulled on the door and said, "Uh Oh! It's locked! What we do now Mom?"
I told her we'd just have to wait.
She didn't like this answer and said, "We need get Reese and Hayden out!" after thinking about it for a minute she said, "I know! We need a mystery mouse ka tool! Oh Toooodles! Tooooodles! Toooooooooodles!"
I laughed. After looking around in the sky expectantly she was perplexed. "Why Toodles not come Mom?"
I explained that Toodles only lived in Mickey Mouse land.
I'm thinking she's watched too much TV this summer.

Floating Lanterns

I worked 6 days in a row and would have died if my sweet Mom hadn't come down and helped me out with the kids.  On Saturday night I got tickets for us to go to the Lantern Fest. It's something I've always wanted to do, so really I was just fulfilling a personal dream and dragging everyone else along, but I hyped my kids up by telling them it would be like the floating lanterns on Tangled.  It was actually pretty close -very magical.
We started off with a funnel-cake-sundae...
                                             followed by some face painting...
Then we roasted marshmallows around the fire...
And then finally it was time to light the lanterns...
And it was beautiful...
Also noteworthy, Grayce broke her arm a couple weeks ago.  (In the back yard -the boys say she was trying to climb up the fence to see the neighbor kids). A couple wks in this splint and the Orthopedic Dr said she should be just fine.
