Monsoon Season

We've had some crazy weather lately.
Giant Haboob's...
And heavy shower's, leaving us with a Lake behind our house =)

Dinosaur Museum

We went with some friends to the Dinosaur Museum in Mesa.
Reese enjoyed pushing Hayden around in the stroller.
 Pretending to be cave men.
 Mining for Gold!
Hayden chillin in the gold stream.
Reese had such a fun time!
He had a hard time adjusting the next day when we stayed home so I could catch up on some cleaning, kept bringing me his shoes and unlocking the front door, pointing outside and saying "Bye-bye bye bye!" And then thinking I wasn't getting the hint, he brought me the car keys.

Love/Hate Relationship

Reese whines if Hayden touches him -or his toys- for even a millisecond.  I'm trying to teach him to share and give the baby loves, but he covers his face with his hands and puts on quite a display of displeasure.
The other day "How to train your Dragon" was on TV so we started watching a bit.  There is a dinosaur looking dragon on there that is pretty scary (I know, bad Mommy moment), but I couldn't find the remote to turn the TV off, so I just picked up Reese and started carrying him upstairs.  Hayden had fallen asleep while I was nursing him, so I left him there on the mat.  Alarmed, Reese started yelling "Noooo, Baby Baby Baby!"  It took me a bit to understand what his dilemma was, but he didn't want me to leave Hayden behind (for the big scary monster to get), so I went back down and scooped up Hayden as well.  I thought it was sweet he showed such concern for his little brother.

Flying home again...

My Mom drove down to Phoenix, and then the two of us flew to Idaho with the two boys for our annual Washburn Family Reunion.  Reese sat on his Grandma's lap and Hayden sat on mine, so they were both able to fly for free.  My mom paid for my ticket and funded our trip and I am so very grateful to her.  We had such a fun time, and it was so nice to have my Mom all to myself, and for each of the boys to always be held by someone.  On the way there we had aisle seats, but on the way back we got window seats and Reese loved watching us take off!

Dodgeball

Reese LOVED this game!
Although he was a bit confused by how it's supposed to be played and spent most of the time chasing the ball!

Playing with Cousins!

Meeting Great-Grandpa!

4th of July!

Time Out

Reese spilled the dog food all over the kitchen floor and knew he was in big trouble cuz he automatically ran and put himself in time out.  I guess he figured he was going to be there for a while because the next time I glanced over at him he'd grabbed a stack of books and piled them up next to him and was kicked back looking at the pictures.  The thing is, he's not supposed to move from time out, but he must've been pretty quick because one minute there were no books, and the next minute the books were there!

Getting the right idea...

While I was cleaning the shower I heard the toilette flush, so I went to investigate.  Reese had taken off his diaper and was shaking the "poop pebbles" into the bowl.  I think he's a little confused about this whole potty training business. ;)
