A Hygienist's Sons...

I plan to have these photos done on canvas print and hung in my operatory at work!
Reese loves to watch Edward and me floss, and try to copy us.
I'm sure the flavors are an incentive.
(Edward has mint and cinnamon floss, and I have grape.)
I love Hayden's toothy smile!

Hayden's First Haircut!

As much as I love seeing this mess of hair peeking at me in the mornings,
I decided it was time to give Hayden a haircut.
 Before & After:
I saved that long strand at the crown of his head in my scrapbook.
It was sticking straight up the first time I laid eyes on him,
and will forever be an endearing part of that memory.

Superstition Ranch Market

A friend tipped me off to this small farmers market, and it is amazing! They get the leftover produce that didn't get bought by the larger grocery chains, so it is cheap, and because the fruit is often riper (sometimes close to spoiling), I think it taste better too! For example: packages of raspberries were $1 each, cauliflower heads 3 for a $1, a bunch of bananas (speckled and perfect for banana bread) was 10 cents total!  I can load my cart with as much produce as my heart desires and never end up paying more than $30 bucks!
For a picky toddler who would prefer to live on chips, marshmallows, and ice cream,
it makes me happy to see him feasting on some healthy alternatives. =)

Pinterest

I still don't fully understand how to use Pinterest, but I have "stumbled" across a few fun ideas.
One was using a muffin tin, shaving cream, food coloring, and a basting brush, to create a colorful bath-time palette.

Notice the green on baby bro's nose.

I guess a jar of sprinkles doesn't make a good baby rattle.

Constitution Day!

This year was the 225th Anniversary
of the signing of the Constitution/ the birth of our US Government!
My cousins Kaelyn & Emersyn performed in a ballet,
and my cousin Ellie (below) helped entertain Reese =)
Reese seemed to enjoy reading this gigantic book!
I tried teaching Reese his ABC's, but we haven't had much luck progressing beyond A.
Now any time he sees any letter, he points to it excitedly and says "A"!
He's got a 1/26 chance of being right ;)

Dump Truck Ride!

I'm learning the secret to getting Hayden to smile in pictures,
is to have Edward around =)

Some things to love about being 2...

Artistic talent blossoming...
Lightening quick ability to get into trouble...
(this happened while I was switching the clothes from the washer to the dryer.
I heard the boys giggling and found Reese making it "snow" on his brother.
Moments after taking this picture, Reese rolled a cantaloupe off the counter,
which splattered everywhere and turned the flour into sticky paste.)
The far from snuggly objects he chooses to sleep with...
(Sometimes he'll sleep with both his Lightening McQueen Car and his Mater Truck, one under each arm ;)
Sweet mischievous boy.
