Fishing with my boys...

Once a year our neighborhood hosts "Breakfast with Bobbers" which is sponsored by the Az Game and Fish Dept.  They loan out free poles and bait, and don't require a fishing license for this one day.

They also cook a breakfast meal you can purchase.  We ended up using some of the grapes from our breakfast meal as a colorful splash of bait threaded along with the worms on our hooks. 

When Reese blessed his breakfast burrito, he prayed that he would catch a fish, so I was very grateful when he landed this big fella.  Reese is actually quite a patient fisher.  Hayden is still a bit too young, he reels in his line a fast as you can cast it out.  In the end Hayden preferred sitting at the edge of the lake feeding some of his breakfast burrito to the baby minnows.  It was a beautiful morning and we had a fun time together.

Sweet girl

This sweet girl loves animals and books.

I think I have watched this clip like 50 times already. 

I just can't get enough of her kitty meow and tiger growl.

Bubs

So before you squeal...this is just a baby cricket that she's chasing...

Grayce loves to alert us to the presence of a "Bub". 

She'll exclaim excitedly "Oooh! Da Bub!!!" 

Then grabbing our hand she'll lead us over to point at said bug.

She loves following baby crickets around the house, hopping when they do.

Fire Museum

Sat Aug 20th we flew to Texas to visit Edward's Parents. We love them so much and don't get to see them nearly as often as we would like!
We hit up our usual favorite eats, the Children's Museum, and the German water-park Schlitterbaun, but we also tried something new this visit and stopped at the San Antonio Fire Museum.
