Pumpkin fun: Hayden went to town gutting the innards, while Reese concentrated on salvaging the best seeds. Reese planted his seeds out in the back yard and checked on them every day for about a week. When no magic beanstalk sprouted up, he kinda lost interest. The boys wanted a scary pumpkin face so I did my best carving, but I guess it was a little too scary because anytime we turned on the battery candle inside to make it glow, Grayce would come cling to my leg and say, "Punkin scary me Mom! I so scared!"
Cute Grayce girl in her mummy pj's:
Originally both boys wanted to be Star Wars bad-guys, but at the last minute Hayden changed his mind and decided to wear his Police man costume from last year. Reese was Kylo Ren.
At first Grayce thought is was a candy exchange, she would pick a candy from her bucket and hold it out to the person at the door and then hold out her bucket. It only took a few doors for her to catch on to how things really work. I had to make a deal with her, she could only hold her bucket if she kept the headband/ears on. She's a free spirited Zebra!

And post-candy bliss:
I always dress up for work. This year I was Bambi:
