Lilypie Pregnancy tickers

I was having kind of a down day, so I listened to one of my most favorite talks, given by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf entitled "Happiness, Your Heritage".  One thing he says is that if you lack the energy for a large project, to start with something small, like making someone smile.  Well one of my favorite people to make smile is Reese.   So I decided to finally attempt making him some soap crayons.

The crayons themselves were a bit of a failure (I'm going to have to splurge on the store bought Crayola version), but they did provide an hour of
happy artistic entertainment before they disintegrated into mush.
This sweet boy's smile warms my heart.

The Fort that Mom Built

When Reese was a baby it soothed him if I walked around or rocked him while he nursed.  Hayden is the opposite. He prefers to be perfectly still, preferably laying down on his side.  I was washing all the bedding today, so when Hayden got fussy I tossed a spare blanket on the floor and laid down next to him.  Then I got the idea, "If your going to lay on the floor, why not lay in style?" =)
And that is how this fort came to be:
Reese loved crawling around shining the flashlight up through the sheets.  I built it in our walk in closet so it was kind of magical to look up and see the multicolored hems of Edward's collar shirts through the gaps in our makeshift canopy.
It wasn't long though before we all (myself and our two dogs included) fell asleep in our cozy quarters for a short siesta.
After our nap we packed it up and left Daddy nary a clue of our nomadic campout ;)

Love their Daddy!

Both these photos were taken about the same age (& same place;)
 Above: Reese / Below: Hayden
I love watching Edward interact with the Boys. He's an awesome Dad!

Jack Jack

Do you remember this kid from "The Incredibles"?

Well Hayden has a similar hairdo going on...
He has this extraordinarily long spiky strand at the back.
It was sticking straight up when they placed him on my tummy after delivery, and I immediately fell in love with it and everything else about this cute little guy!

Suns/Spurs Game!

The last game of the season the Suns played the Spurs.
Edward got Brian some sweet tickets for his Birthday and the two of them went with Reese, while Hayden and I stayed home and took a much needed nap =)

Spurs won!

Texas Trip

We drove (13hrs) to San Antonio to visit Mama and Papa DeHoyos,
so they could finally meet their new Grandson Hayden!
We love them so much and can't wait to go back!
(Though next time preferably not driving)
