Hayden's favorite thing lately whenever we come home, is to change into his pajamas and put his roller-skates on. He is getting really good at wheeling around on the tile. He requested a Roller Skating party for his Birthday (he also requested a Batman and a Pokemon-Go party, frequently changing his mind, but we went with the skate idea).
Uncle Buzzy & Grandma were able to be here for the party.
I love when Hayden says "wittlebidit" I wiw hab a wittlebitid of syrup on my pancakes.
Hayden is such a sweet boy. He always opens my car door for me before going back around to the side his booster seat is on and climbing in. He always picks me flowers and tells me I look "so bootiful". He is so sweet and protective over his little sister. He is very quick witted. He'll look at something I've made for dinner and tell me he doesn't like it. I'll tell him he doesn't know if he likes it, he's never had it before, and he'll respond, "How do you know I neber had it afore?" I'll respond, "Because this is the first time in your life that I've ever made it." So he'll quip back, "I tried it when I was up in Heaven, and I hated it, so Jesus just gabe me Pizza." He is very observing and is very analytical with the way he views things. He's my child that will say things like, "That lady's reawy old Mom -she hab a lot of wrinkles." We're working on recognizing observations that might hurt someones feelings. He LOVES church. If we ever skip out of 3rd hour he will start crying because he hates to miss primary.
Hayden's
prayers are sometimes interesting. He often prays "help Reese and me
not fight, and help Mom and Dad not fight" which is sweet except when
it's a public prayer like in primary -then it's a tad embarrassing. I
never know what to expect when he prays. One time in the midst of his
usual lines he threw in, "and help us kill all de zombies afore dey kill
us". When he was done I asked, "What was that part about killing
zombies?" He goes, "Oh sorry Mom, I not kill dem" (he knows I don't like
killing games), "I just make them go night-night....FOREVER!" and he
threw his head back and laughed a maniacal laugh. The other night he
ended his prayer with, "and help Iron man and Superman to unite and sabe
de world."

One
night the kids were all asleep (or so I thought) so I went downstairs
to run on the treadmill. Hayden came in and said he wasn't tired. I
told him he could stay with me till I was done running. He started
flipping through some old photos that were laying in the corner. He
kept asking, "Is dis baby me Mom?" Unfortunately they all happened to
be photos of Reese, so I would tell him, "No, that's Reese when he was a
baby." Frustrated he asked, "Where am I in these pictures Mom?" So I
told him, "You were in my tummy in that picture." Hayden started just
bawling and said, "I wanted to be born first Mom. I wanted it so bad. I
was waiting up in Heaven the whole time!" At that point I pulled the
rip cord on the treadmill, hopped off and just cradled him. With lots
of kisses I told him how much I love him. It has got to be hard being
the middle child. I hope I can help him realize how grateful I am that
he came in the middle, he's the perfect balance to our family. I love him so very much!!! He is my sweet energetic little apostle kid. (Edward nicknamed Hayden "apostle kid" because of his love for church, and he says the lengthiest prayers of anyone in the family :)
